The outreach program was born out of the compassionate heart for others by Sherry L. Smith. She had always been a help to those in her local community, as well as nationally and is in partnership with over 15 well known non-profit organizations the ministry and church donate to frequently. It was not until 2009 that her vision became international when she and her family were on vacation in Jamaica interacting with the local people learning of their hardships and needs that Journey to Jamaica mission began.
